Head Coach
Rob Ducey
Rob Ducey is a former Major League Baseball veteran with over 13 seasons of professional playing experience. During his MLB career, he played for six different teams and appeared in over 700 games. He also spent two seasons in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball league, where he hit more than 50 home runs. His success on the international stage includes representing Team Canada as both a player and coach in the Olympics and World Baseball Classic.
Following his playing career, Coach Ducey worked as a minor league hitting coach and MLB scout for several organizations, including the Yankees, Phillies, Expos, Blue Jays, and Rays. He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2013 and the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
Now leading the Bishop McLaughlin baseball program, Coach Ducey combines professional-level insight with high school player development. He emphasizes fundamentals, situational baseball, and advanced analytics—including swing tracking and spin-rate data—to help athletes grow both mentally and physically. His vision is to create a championship-caliber program that develops not only skilled baseball players but young men of high character and discipline.
