Beach Volleyball

Coach Madara Bajare (Mada) has 5 years of coaching experience across multiple levels and ages. After her D1 college career as a student athlete at Hillsborough Community College (HCC) and Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) coach Mada started her first ever coaching job for Pursuit Volleyball Club in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. In the summer of 2020, coach Mada returned to the Tampa Bay area and joined Tampa United Volleyball Club (TUVA) that following fall and has been with them ever since. During the 5 years with TUVA, coach Mada has worked as a head coach and assistant coach for all age groups between 12s and 18s. These past two seasons coach Mada was a head coach for 17s and 18s and four of her players continued their volleyball career to the next level after graduating.  

While coaching at TUVA, coach Mada was also a NJCAA D1 assistant volleyball coach for three seasons at HCC (2021-2023). This experience and opportunity allowed her to build strong knowledge in all skills and positions beyond what she had learned as a college player herself.  

Coach Mada is originally from Latvia, and came to the USA on a scholarship to play college volleyball, to learn and develop as a player while also obtaining her degree. Coach Mada has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Nutrition. After graduating, she worked for a year as a Personal Trainer and a Children Group Fitness Instructor at a BayCare Fitness Center in Valrico, Florida. Currently, besides head coaching the indoor and beach volleyball program at Bishop McLaughlin, coach Mada coaches club volleyball, runs camps, clinics, lessons, and also runs an apparel brand Macawii with her husband.
