Men's Golf

Coach Mario Monteleone has proudly served as the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School for the past four years. With over eight years of experience coaching junior golf and 15 years in the golf industry, Coach Monteleone brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and passion to the program. 

His background includes organizing and hosting a wide range of golf events, including the FHSAA Regional Championship, the BMCHS Hurricane Invitational, and the BMCHS Golf Classic. He has also lent his expertise to charitable tournaments such as the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Charity Golf Scramble and the University of South Florida’s American Marketing Association Annual Golf Scramble, emphasizing his deep commitment to both community service and the game of golf. 

Off the course, Coach Monteleone has dedicated the past five years to educating students as a mathematics teacher at Bishop McLaughlin, where he specializes in Geometry. He firmly believes in the power of education and athletics to shape confident, disciplined, and faith-driven young adults. 

Faith, family, golf, and the success of our youth are the cornerstones of Coach Monteleone’s life and coaching philosophy. He inspires his athletes through the motto: “Train Hard … Play Easy,” and lives by his favorite quote from Michael Jordan: “Practice like you have never won and play like you have never lost.” A man of faith, his favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” 

Coach Monteleone continues to lead by example, instilling values of hard work, integrity, and resilience in every player he coaches.
