Dan Gibbons is a retired U.S. Marine with 15 years of service and five combat deployments. His coaching career began 16 years ago at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, where he first coached youth baseball. Since then, his coaching experience has spanned multiple states—including Colorado, North Carolina, and now Florida.
Currently, Coach Gibbons leads the Mamba Fastpitch Softball program, a competitive travel organization that competes year-round across Florida and develops high-level talent. Under his leadership, the program has produced multiple NCAA Division I and II prospects.
Coach Gibbons brings that same level of commitment and vision to Bishop McLaughlin Softball. His coaching philosophy is built on the principles that have guided Mamba Fastpitch’s success; gratitude, positive internal dialogue, frequent self-assessments, belief in God’s plan, and lead with selflessness, avoid negative judgment of teammates, self accountability, and work ethic.
With a focus on building both elite athletes and strong character, Coach Gibbons is committed to leading Bishop McLaughlin Softball to success on and off the field
