Women’s Golf is offered here at BMCHS. The Women’s Golf program at Bishop McLaughlin promotes confidence, consistency, and growth. With a focus on skill development and course management, our golfers learn to compete with integrity and poise. Whether you are a player or a fan, come out and cheer on the Hurricanes this season. Coach Laurie Watts has golf running through her veins. She had her first article written about her golf prowess at 3 years old. She played high school golf and softball for Chamberlain HS in Tampa, FL. She then attended FSU and played on the women’s soccer team. She ultimately graduated from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. with a B.S. in Accounting. Laurie has always had a passion for playing golf. She shares that passion with her family including her 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. She loves high schoolers (former Young Life Leader) and cannot wait to share her knowledge of golf with each of her students. golfintampa327@gmail.com
The girls’ golf team consists of 6 seniors and 5 underclasspersons. They have lots of experience and success under their belts. They are coming off their best winning season in school history and we are expecting the trajectory to continue this season. There are high hopes for reaching Regionals as a team and building a strong foundation for the future.
